Control the process by controlling your ambient environment
Lack of control of your ambient environment can result in inconsistent results or defects in your product. AIR brings decades of experience creating custom controlled environments for your processes, whether you’re looking for freshness when packing tea bags or avoiding sub-micron particles on the next generation of computer chips. We have experience with creating a variety of ambient environments as your process requires, including slightly positive or negative pressures (+/- 15mbar).

Capabilities
Years of experience managing process environments that can impact your quality or yield
Custom enclosures with gas recirculation or filtration are often needed for maintaining a consistent process environment. We’ve developed many custom enclosures for customers who require specialized environments for their automation processes:
- HEPA and ULPA filtration for sub-micron particle-free process areas per ISO 14644-1, down to the strictest semiconductor requirements of ISO 1
- OEM or custom hermetically sealed glove boxes meeting ISO 10648-2 standards
- High purity nitrogen or argon (<1ppm O2 and H2O) with dual molecular sieve purifier columns and recirculation
- Custom process enclosures for substrates as large as 925mmx1250mm
- Active temperature control within 1 degree C
- Ionizer systems to dissipate static charge
- Acoustic enclosures for ultra-vibration-sensitive processes

Approach
Partnering with world experts in OEM environmental controls components
We partner with global experts in the specific types of environmental controls you may need. We use their proven technologies and integrate them into custom enclosures to meet your process requirements. But we know the tricks for how to get them to work well in custom applications. We select from industry accepted brands that have a track record for reliability and customer acceptance.

Impact
AIR brings years of experience in controlling various process environment parameters to bring you an optimized solution the first time
AIR’s experienced engineers know where to locate components in an enclosure or ports on a system to get best results the first time:
- FFU configuration to optimize particle control
- Best supply and return port locations for inert gas purifiers
- Optimized ionizer locations over key process areas
- Passive or active vibration isolation or acoustic enclosures
